Loris Community Hospital offers excellent emergency and trauma care 24 hours a day and has the services and facilities to meet your needs. Our team of board certified physicians and experienced trauma nurses is always ready to provide compassionate, quality care in response to a medical crisis. We meet the needs of the patient while being sensitive to the family's concerns.
Our Emergency Department is a designated Level III trauma center. The department sees more than 19,000 patients a year and is equipped to provide care for trauma needs, including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedic and surgical.
There are times when a patient may need a higher level of care. In these cases, patients are transported after they are stabilized. The trauma team at Loris Community Hospital works closely with the transport teams from Medical University of South Carolina, McLeod Regional Medical Center, Duke University, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Seacoast Medical Center offers a convenient location for 24-hour emergency care for all minor illnesses and traumas. Seacoast Medical Center has the staff, equipment and resources to assess and treat life-threatening emergencies, provide consulting specialties and if needed, arrange transfer to Loris Community Hospital or other trauma center.
